Charity Exhibition and Sale of Children's Paintings
The "Charitable Foundation 'Historical and Cultural Center of the City of Uman'" together with the Uman Children's Art School "Antares" organized a charitable exhibition and sale of paintings by students from the art department.
"Our Foundation works in several areas, including the protection of cultural heritage as well as the development of culture. One of the important areas of activity is finding connections between Jewish and Hasidic culture and Ukrainian culture. In March, we held an event thanks to which it became possible to purchase several graphic tablets for the children's art school. It is very important that children learn to draw not only on paper but also study graphic and other electronic drawing devices," said the Foundation's Executive Director, Iryna Rybnytska.
We remind you that one of the priority tasks of the "Charitable Foundation 'Historical and Cultural Center of the City of Uman'" is the protection of the territory of the Historical and Cultural Center, which includes the Grave of Tzaddik Nachman. This site, in turn, is located in Uman within the boundaries of the Ancient Jewish Cemetery, as marked on the city plan from 1842.
The preservation of cultural heritage is precisely the magnet that should drive the development of this site, as the issue of keeping the ancient cemetery territory intact is inextricably linked to the prospects for developing the area and attracting investments.
